We deliver across South Africa using reputable couriers, and you can also collect from our warehouse. The exact options, charges and any lead time are always shown at checkout before you pay. This policy explains how it works.
1. Delivery options
- Locker / counter-to-counter — an economical option for small, light items.
- Standard courier — door-to-door delivery for most orders.
- Insured courier — for higher-value orders (see section 3).
- Collect at warehouse — free collection from us (see section 2).
The methods available for your order depend on the items, their size and value, and your delivery address.
2. Collect at our warehouse
You can collect your order from us at no delivery charge. Choose “collect at warehouse” at checkout; we'll let you know when your order is ready and packed. Please bring your order number and proof of identity. Collection is a popular, secure choice for high-value equipment.

3. High-value & insured delivery
To protect you and us against loss or theft, orders at or above a high-value threshold are sent by insured courier, and delivery requires a one-time PIN (OTP) and a signature from the recipient. Please make sure someone is available to receive and verify the delivery. The threshold and any insured-delivery charge are shown at checkout. For very high-value orders we may recommend collection.
4. Bulky & freight items
Some items — such as cable drums, fencing poles, racks and large enclosures — are heavy or oversized and cannot ship at a standard rate. These are marked as delivery quoted before dispatch: we place your order on a short hold, confirm the delivery cost with you, and dispatch once you approve. This avoids surprise charges and makes sure fragile or bulky goods travel safely. You can also collect these items from our warehouse.
5. Lead times & processing
We aim to pick and dispatch in-stock orders quickly once payment is confirmed. Items marked as on order are not held in stock and show an estimated lead time, which you acknowledge at checkout. Delivery time is the processing time plus the courier's transit time to your area. All times are estimates and can be affected by stock, payment clearance, courier schedules and events outside our control.
6. Delivery charges
Delivery charges are calculated from your order and address and shown before you pay. Where we offer free delivery above a certain order value, it applies to standard parcel items only — heavy, bulky and freight-quoted items are excluded from any free-delivery threshold and are charged or quoted separately. Manual EFT orders are dispatched once payment reflects.
7. Delivery areas
We deliver throughout South Africa. Outlying and remote areas may take longer and may attract a regional surcharge, which will be shown at checkout or quoted where applicable. We do not currently ship orders outside South Africa; enquiries from other countries are handled by quote request.
8. On delivery
Please inspect your order when it arrives. Check that the number of parcels matches the delivery note and that there is no visible damage before signing. Report any shortage, damage or incorrect item to us as soon as possible at info@todae.net so we can put it right. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery or collection; for how ownership and returns work, see our Terms of Sale and Returns Policy.
