Todae is a South African business. Our primary privacy framework is the POPIA Privacy Policy, which governs how we handle personal information. This shorter notice adds information for visitors in the United States, including US state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA).
1. Scope
For US visitors, Todae operates as catalogue and quote-request only — we do not process US checkout. This notice covers the limited personal information we collect from US visitors who browse the store or submit a quote request.
2. What we collect
- Identifiers & contact details you give us in a quote request (name, email, phone, company, country).
- Enquiry details — the items and notes in your quote request.
- Technical & usage information — device/browser information and, with your consent, basic analytics that use a random session token and do not identify you personally.
3. How we use it
We use this information to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, secure our site and, only with your consent, to measure and improve the store. We keep it only as long as needed for those purposes.
4. No sale or sharing of personal information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose it only to service providers who help us run the store (such as our hosting, email and analytics providers), under contracts that limit their use of it.
5. Opt-out & Global Privacy Control (GPC)
Because we do not sell or share your personal information (see section 4) and do not use cross-context behavioral advertising, there is nothing for a sale/sharing opt-out to switch off. If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we take it as confirmation of that choice — it is consistent with how we already operate. If you would like us to limit non-essential analytics for you, or to make any other opt-out or privacy request, email us (see below) and we will action it. You will not be discriminated against for exercising any privacy right.
6. Your choices
Depending on your state, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we have collected about you and access a copy;
- request deletion or correction of your personal information; and
- opt out of any sale/sharing (we do neither) and of certain targeted advertising (we do none).
We will verify your request before acting on it, and you may use an authorized agent where the law allows.
